Obituary for Everett W. Minck

New Bern - Everett Warrin Minck, 92, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Mr. Minck served in the US Army during World War II. He and his brothers ran a soft drink manufacturing company in Union City, NJ for 33 years. He was a faithful member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, and had a very good sense of humor.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Carol A. Cross Minck; children, Christine E. Race (James) of Colorado Springs, CO, Ellen P. Halley (Joe) of Hampton, VA, Patricia A. Hardenberg (Mark) of Lebanon, NH , Jeffrey P. Minck (Sandy) of Lakewood, CO and Cheryl D. Bowen (Jim) of New Bern; nine grandchildren, Tim Mansfield, Melissa Kahley, Kevin Mansfield, Dan Race, Jesse Race, Wendy Hardenberg, Elin Hardenberg, Jenna Sadler and Amber Bowen; four great-grandchildren, Alex Mansfield, Owen Race Ellie Race and Grayson Bowen; and his brother, Arthur Minck..

Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 25 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Lutheran Church with Pastor Ted Rust officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at the church columbarium. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the memorial service.
