Obituary for Kemp C. Hill

NEW BERN, NC

Mr. Kemp Carter Hill, 84, passed away at home Wednesday, June 14, 2017. A native of Gulfport, MS, Kemp was the last son of Beulah and Roger Wilson Hill, Sr. His brothers, Roger Wilson Hill, Jr. and Kemp's twin, Charles Franklin Hill preceded him in death. Kemp was a US Air Force veteran, and worked many years for EDS as a computer systems engineer in Dallas, TX and Jackson, MS. He, and his wife Doris, retired to New Bern in 2001 to be close to family.

Kemp is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris Gilbert Hill, of New Bern; his daughter, Donda Rhodes, and husband Len, of Winterville; his son, Darwin Hill, of Durham; his granddaughter, Anne Rhodes; several nieces and nephews; and his special four-legged friend Roxy (aka Rocky).
