Obituary for Marcia M. Collins

Marcia Melendy Collins, 71, of Havelock, NC, passed away at her home on December 30, 2016.

Marcia was a school teacher for Craven County Public Schools for over 25 years. She loved crafts and to read, but most of all she loved her family.

Marcia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William E. Collins, and her brother, Bradford Melendy.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Collins (Arianne) of Miami, FL, daughter, Kelley Anne Collins of Raleigh, NC, brother Clifford P. Melendy of St. Johns, FL, sister Paula M. Fay (John) of St. Johns, FL, and two grandchildren; Ainsley Elizabeth Collins, and Madigan Sophia Collins.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Pollock-Best Funerals and Cremations.

In lieu of flowers the family request that you please consider making a donation in Marcia's honor to: The Coastal Women's Shelter of North Carolina, 1333 S. Glenburnie Road, New Bern, NC 28562.
