Jill Coleen Cool Campbell
New Bern ~ Jill Coleen Cool Campbell was born on January 5, 1968 in Dayton, Ohio and grew up in Darke County, Ohio. She passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She graduated from Franklin-Monroe High School in Pitsburg, Ohio in 1986. She joined the Marines after high school and served 4 years. Jill loved animals of all kinds, especially cats. In years past, she worked at Craven Animal Hospital as a vet tech.
Jill is preceded in death by her parents, Denby and Georgia (Miller) Cool. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Campbell of New Bern; daughter and son-in-law, Katie Carter and Anders; granddaughter, Southerlynn Lane Carter, all of Kinston, NC; and a son, Kelly Thuerkoff of Silverton, OR. She also is survived by her “sissies”, Sissy 1 – Janet Peters and husband Dan of Arcanum, Ohio, and Sissy 2 – Joanie Jackson and husband Buster of La Fayette, GA; three nieces, Rachel Heck, Kalette Hittle, and Jacie Holman all of Ohio. Jill is also survived by sister-in-law, Judi Campbell of New Bern; nephew Charles Park; and brother-in-law, Warren Campbell and his wife Mencie of Advance, NC; and niece, Liz Sink and nephew, Ashley Campbell.
Jill also was surrounded in life by many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Services to celebrate the life of Jill will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 25 at Pollock-Best Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David McCants officiating, A visitation will follow the service. Graveside services and interment will be held at a later date at Mote’s Cemetery, Pitsburg, Ohio.
