Obituary for Naomi Ruth Beasock

Naomi Ruth (Cayton) Beasock went to be with her Lord on October 18, 2016. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 83 at her home in Altamonte Springs, FL.
Ruth was born August 3, 1933, in Craven County, NC, the daughter of William E. Cayton and Verrena C. “Beanie” Cayton.
She was a homemaker and was a long-time resident of Jacksonville, NC. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking and baking for her family and relatives, interior decorating, swinging on a front porch in the warm Carolina evenings, and had a special place in her heart for cats. She lived in Florida for the last ten years, where her daughter resides. The Lord blessed Ruth by sending Gloria Kwaterski to lovingly care for her for the last three years of her life and thru Ken Beasock, also for the last few years, for providing a portion of financial assistance.
She was preceded in death by her son, Richard T. Beasock , her brother Ervin E. “Buddy” Cayton , and her sisters Verrena Elizabeth “Punk” Cayton and Ruby U. Cayton 1928.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Sheila Burnette and her husband Mike, of Altamonte Springs, FL; her son Michael K. Beasock and his wife Kay, of Tucson, AZ; her sisters Daffodil Ipock and her husband Wendell, of New Bern, NC; and Vivian Grega and her husband Barry, of Ernul, NC. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Aaron Burnette, Jennifer (Beasock) Federico, Amber (Beasock) Zaratsian, Crystal (Beasock) Pons, Damon Beasock, and three great-grandchildren, Ella Burnette, Hunter Beasock, Christian, and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was a loving mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will be greatly missed by all. She will be remembered for her love and deep devotion to her family.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Pollock-Best Funeral Home in New Bern, NC. The viewing will be held Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm, at the funeral home, with the service following immediately afterward.
