NEW BERN, NC
Mrs. Betty Cassell Bender, 66, passed away suddenly Sunday, October 2, 2016. A native of Nicholas County, WV, Betty was a longtime resident of New Bern. She enjoyed being with her family and playing with her grandchildren. Sadly she was preceded in death by her son, Johnie T. Bender, Jr.
Betty is survived by her children, Jason Ryan Bender, of West End, NC; Jennifer Bender Norris, and husband Mark, of Charlotte, NC; and Jereme Wesley Bender, of New Bern, NC. She also leaves behind her brothers, Roger Cassell, and wife Jeanie, of Maryland; Jimmy Cassell, and wife Jill, of Kentucky; and her five wonderful grandchildren, Ashley Bender, Ryan Bender, Bailee Bender, Madison Norris, and Maxton Norris.
The family will receive friends 6-8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Pollock~Best Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday at the Pollocksville Cemetery.
