I have been thinking of Mary so much recently and just knew something had happened. I found her obituary and wanted to let you know how sorry we are for your loss. She was such a generous and delightful friend. She never thought something couldn't be done to track down more information for that book. She sent a gift I still remember with delight--a special delivery of camellias from her garden for my wedding.We treasured our visits to your home on the Trent and the delight Bardie and Mary took in showing New Bern and Cape Lookout to us. We send our love to Bardie and condolences to the family. I will always remember her sitting here with me working on MBC's chronicle and sharing her delight in the project. She was a very special lady.
